my undergraduate college yrs in CO 1968-72 18 yr olds could drink 3.2 beer. I didn't turn 18 till into my freshman yr., another friend didn't until into her sophmore yr. ID's rarely, if ever checked at our local 3.2 places. Only time id's checked were when a keg was purchased for a home party but we could always get someone to do that. We'd go into Denver often to some favorite 21 bars w/ our fake id's. On my 21st bday I had a little bonfire in the ashtray with my fake ID

I always wondered when they changed the drinking age to 21, but since it didn’t impact me I never looked it up. Thanks Bill!

My Navy son still brings up the story when I have beer to our underage sailors on the pier when deployed. “They are willing to give their lives for their country, they can have beer.”

I now wonder if our A/i masters have IDs. I'd like to know who is whipping the whip.

Love the timeline but please don't use the Bible as a legitimate historical resource. Your example from the Old Testament was written at least 1000 years (if not longer) after the events it describe occurred (supposedly).

I was walking into bars when I was 14. My friends always got stopped at the door but I just walked in like I owned th place, never got stopped. Never got drunk and made a fool of myself either.
