for 15+ yrs I was a Weight Watcher facilitator/leader/whatever they're called these days, until I moved to another state. I've kept my weight off for 30+ years... following Mediterranean diet basically. I'm in my 70's, no meds... WW doesn't necessarily use the Med diet, however those food choices result in better "Point" values.
I'd sure as heck eat healthy than take any diet meds or have injections. Sure wish families would feed their kids this way. WAY too many younger kids being diagnosed w/ diabetes & obesity.
RE: bad at reporting what people eat, in the days I was working for WW, members were strongly encouraged to track everything they ate. I'd suggest every "bite, lick & taste". Every once in a while would do a demo of things people often "don't measure or count", ie, the last little bits in the bottom of the cereal box, carton of juice, the hershey kiss from your co-worker's desk, or at the bank, etc... So sometimes, things like the cereal could actually measure up to an extra "WW Point"; others, like the kiss, I'd suggest keep count of 3, then add a Point. Similar to this demo would have people 'guessing' measurements, then actually showing what was measured. Some would be close, others not so; some would be way over, some would get to have more... knowledge is power, hmmm
I do not understand how someone can think it is a good idea to pardon people convicted by a jury of attacking and assaulting police officers and others convicted for committing serious crimes such as Ross Ulbricht. It is OK for Ulbricht to facilitate drug traffic but there is a problem when others do the same thing at the borders?
Dr. Anthony Fauci Is Stripped of Government Security Protection
Fauci, who was one of the nation’s top health officials for decades, had received death threats during the coronavirus pandemic.
Just flip flop your statement and you see the incongruency of beliefs Americans have when it comes to their team (politics). Either you support something or you don't. It shouldn't change based on who is doing it.
Slight difference between the two. Biden’s pardons were like preventive medicine against Kash Patel’s(if confirmed)already stated vengeance prosecutions via this retribution minded president vs. all who had gone through the proper channels(grand jury, indictment, trial, jury deliberations, sentencing)to find their way into a cell. It is disingenuous to cry that they were imprisoned by a “weaponized”DOJ.
For all who haven’t watched the Jim Acosta/Tim Burchett confrontation where Burchett claimed that J6 didn’t happen the way most of us know it darn well did and while video of it was playing, blows the mind. This in spite of the fact that Burchett was huddled with a gas mask in the floor of the House chamber as the J6ers were trying to forcefully gain access.
Oh yes, one thing I failed to mention, the Capitol was OFF LIMITS, shut down as was most of the buildings in DC because of the pandemic. So at the very least they were all trespassing on a federal facility.
And one more thing(Bill),there was one J6 defendant who refused her pardon; saying she was there and she deserved her 60 day sentence. She’s seen the light and is trying to make amends for her actions that day and she is out of the cult.
It could have been a time of healing. Biden could have told Trump that he would pardon him of his 34 bogus felonies, if Trump agrees not to do anymore pardons.
None of this really matters though. Most people are stuck on a team and will not see their bias in evaluating the narratives of the press.
Honestly, I thought we were safe from all this here. I hope you find a way through it Bill. That said, I'm one of those deplorables that reads this for free.
If trump had agreed it would have been another lie. He was tried and convicted so they are legitimate felonies. The things he is trying to do now are so outrageous it cannot be contained.
Its not that he was tried and convicted. Its the counts and level of the crime that was manipulated by the other side.
In New York, this crime of cooking the books in a misdemeanor unless the cooking of books was the facilitate or hide another crime.
What was the other crime? An extramarital sexual encounter or "manipulation of the election"?
We need to recognize your own bias in evaluating the actions of others. Should Trump have 34 felony convictions for sleeping with another woman while married and then trying to keep that from the public?
This is a gross manipulation of a justice system, as is his lack of sentence, as is his' and Biden's pardon and commutations.
We are all lost if we continue down this path of supporting corruption "for the greater good".
No one should be above or below the law. We are not in a free country if law is simply a political tool.
Ping, pong. You still haven't contemplated the fact that he was convicted of 34 counts of felony for falsifying his books to cover an affair. Check anywhere you like to analyze others in New York that were charged with a felony on the same charge. How many counts did those villains receive after their decades of perpetrating their large web of crimes? Based on Wikipedia, one or two counts. Their crimes were obvious and apparent for the charge to be a felony.
SCOTUS did not evaluate the merit of his charges, but simply whether sentencing should be applied or delayed.
Justice was not served. How many in the state of New York were and will be treated differently. It does not matter that it was Trump, or that he was running for office, or that he's a member of a party you do not support. Justice must be equal or there is no Justice.
Notice above, I mentioned the fact that he wasn't sentenced was also an injustice. If we allow someone to be convicted of something, we should have the nads for sentencing them according to that which we charged them.
I'm not a fanboy of Trump. I want only for a representative government, free press, and equal Justice.

all the pardons on both sides, along w/ the preemptives, have gone way too far.
I see 2 old men in the boxing ring w/ their supporters trying so hard to hold them both up, w/ every excuse. Crapola.
I'd say comparable to Silk Road https://apnews.com/article/biden-clemency-connecticut-adrian-peeler-28fa099588ec3f0d2555e036fda16be3 And there are plenty of others that are similar
There’s a fire-hose. I hadn’t seen this one. Seems wrong.
I’d just point out the difference between clemency and a pardon.
Trump didn’t even promise a pardon in this case — he said clemency. But he went with a full pardon instead.
I agree - awful ending for Biden; awful beginning for Trump

Call it what you want but he was definitely tried and convicted. SCOTUS even relented and ruled he could be sentenced. Keep up!
