well, I subscribe to WaPo, for George Will, plus it's an inexpensive way to read the left view. WaPo is very much biased to the left, plus the commenters are very biased & hateful. And the 'updated' way the comments are done:

"clarifying" "new to me" "provocative" "thoughtful" aren't liked by many, if any...

I've known about the Tulsa Race Massacre for a long time - don't remember when. The fact that "The reparations will be powered by the charitable Greenwood Trust and built with private capital." is how it's been approved.

I've also read several stories about the Mount Everest, Sherpas. If their livelihoods can be made safer, great!!

and ONCE again, the Mediterranean Diet, now linked to the MIND diet, is proving to be healthy!!

How is it you know this feature isn’t “…liked by many, if any?” I personally think it is a novel feature that allows the reader more introspection before clicking a button. Based on the usage I’ve seen it is regularly used.

Aren’t we all biased and hateful to one degree or another?

What a huge validation from Buffett. We've all still got a lot to learn from him.

I am currently on an eating plan that focusses heavily on leafy greens. It is not as easy as you may think to eat like that.

And based on some of the stories I have heard/read/watched, the Sherpas are an incredible group of people. So many people seem to go to Everest just to say they did, but have no idea what it is they are trying to do.

Speaking of WaPo, you might want to check out its latest turn.

“…the Post has “placed a greater emphasis on building deeper engagement with users to create paid subscription businesses.”

And doing it on the cheap so they lower expenses.

Our news organizations are being gutted, sold off for parts, and being turned into AI machines. It was over when hedge funds got involved. So much for civics. We are on our own for legitimate news (other than the NYT) these days.

I first heard of ketamine back in 1968 or 69 when I took my cat to the vet to be neutered. His “new” drug to anesthetize him was ketamine and he loved it. He could tell the animal was asleep because its tongue would always protrude from its mouth. It worked quickly, had no significant side effects and the animal awoke much easier than from previous meds. I doubt at that time though my vet would have ever thought it would be used recreationally. His favorite saying was that he went into veterinary medicine because humans weren’t always right bright. Little did he know.

Pretty much an open secret that Mr. Buffett and Mrs. Graham were "more" than just good friends, which calls into question the judgement of both of them.
