You skipped my favorite. Soak Up the Sun by Sheryl Crow! Always makes me feel better to hear it!

Now that you’ve opined on Sunshine, why not talk about rain; e.g., “Rainy Days & Mondays (Always Get Me Down)? ;)

ahhhh, but Jesus said to be the light. Living as light doesn’t always require grand gestures. You don’t have to preach a sermon to show people God’s love. Sometimes it’s the little things—checking in on a friend, choosing joy when it would be easier to complain, or forgiving instead of clinging to bitterness. Small, consistent choices can shine Christ’s light in powerful ways. Some people you meet during the day have no family, no friends, no community of support - your light might be the little bit of (sun)light that can brighten their day.

but I do like your side note of the other song...

LOTS of good sunshine songs, as well as just knowing it feels good to soak up some real sunshine!

lots of billionaires in CA & NY - plus the article said a small % actually donate. Wonder what names would be associated w/ those non-donors...

Erewhon grocery - certainly not the Piggly Wiggly from days-gone-by, hmmm - wonder how Mamdani will approach that. Hmmm, maybe w/ his privileged background he might be granted access?

The headlines to COVID Wave Washes Over California - gosh, there they go again, another panicky, misleading headline to grab ya, then as you read, many, MANY, counties, like this, are saying it's actually no worse than last summer: "In Los Angeles County, COVID-19 hospitalizations are currently about as high as last winter's peak, but remain lower than the peaks of the last two summers, according to the L.A. County Department of Public Health."

Sunshine, when mixed with the ocean, is the greatest mood adjuster on earth.

Yes, "Here Comes the Sun" was about the beginning of spring and is my favorite Beatles song. It was written by George Harrison and covered by Richie Haven.

I still say there’s nothing like “Singing in the Rain”, though that’s mostly since no one will hear me and be forever ruined. I’m pretty much tone deaf.

It makes me sad to know that children will die unnecessarily in Florida because of stupidity.

Stupidity or willful ignorance? At some point only the top 2% will be able to obtain vaccines.

Willful ignorance occurs when someone intentionally avoids information about the negative consequences of their actions.

A new meta-analysis found that 40% of people will choose to remain ignorant of how their decisions affect others. The evidence suggests that willful ignorance provides people with a built-in excuse to act selfishly.

- Sunshine on my shoulders (John Denver)

- Waiting for the sun (Doors)

- Island in the sun (Weezer)

- Sunny afternoon (The Kinks)

- Good day sunshine (Beatles)

It’s sad that society is becoming so complacent about vaccines, they forget how terrible the preventable diseases can be on kids - and adults. My mom had polio as a child, it affected her the rest of her life. That there was quite enough to make sure her kids, and my kids were fully vaccinated. Those who do not remember the past are doomed to repeat it. Even those “harmless” things like measles can kill, tough way to learn the value of vaccines.

And the story about blowing up boats gives me pause. How can doing that in international waters be allowed? Don’t get the thinking behind paying $7,000 a year just to buy groceries, either. The US is going down a strange path.

Yes! Definitely a beautiful (literally and figuratively) notion we can rely upon daily. The sun is always there the next day, even if it's covered by clouds.

electric cars were attempted to be mandated, along w/ all the other things... that was the Dems way... I, along w/ every Republican I know believe in the vaccines we received as kids. The key word is "mandated". Republicans want to remove that word. Vaccines are not unavailable AT ALL. EVERYONE still has access to them. ADULTS can make decisions. GOVERNMENT does not have to make decisions for them. Piggly Wiggly??? Hello???? The COVID issue raised way too much doubt in too many minds, about Government control & lies, which is now creating a lot of this controversy. The ONLY PEOPLE I KNOW who have had COVID numerous times have been vaccinated AND rec'd whatever it was that was supposed to make their symptoms less severe, & I live in a 50+ community. I'm knocking on wood, but husband & I had the first + booster but nothing else, & only those 'cause we traveled to CA to see grandkids when COVID was new & we were required to show our docs. We've never been ill.

Drs will continue to highly recommend vaccines... etc., etc..
