I think the answer is to get old men out of politics. . . . Only partially joking. Not seeing any countries “commanded” by women trying to take over other countries. It seems like politics is. Ow about money and not about by the people for the people. Can only hope that changes.
All good stuff today Bill. Funny thing though, 1962 was my high school junior year and the Beatles were all I remember. The Stones hit my brain much later but not nearly with the same impact. I was still playing Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band into the ‘70s and never owned a single Rolling Stones album. Funny how different music appeals to people.
There was a lot going on in 1962, most of which I was blithely unaware. I was in the middle of my high school “romance” and couldn’t be bothered with much else at the time.
As for the Matterhorn, that was a pretty big deal at the time. Also, I learned to spell Matterhorn in the second grade along with Mississippi, Tennessee and business. See the connection?
And yes, we do speak foreign languages in our Southern accent something I didn’t think possible until I made my first trip to Mexico and got laughed at for speaking Spanish in my Southern accent by a Midwesterner 😁. As for Commander Stafford’s friendship with his Russian counterpart, just shows that shared experiences tend to make more friends than enemies.
Look at the greedy monster Bezos has turned into as opposed to his ex wife who helped him get to the success he claims today.
Never got to Disneyland but did make it to Disney World during its 15th anniversary year. What a mess! My husband, my mom and I made the trip. We got there early to be able to get a wheelchair for my mom. We sailed through in 4 hours flat after she lied so the two of us could ride the Wild Mouse. It is truly wild. Traffic was so bad that right soon after we exited the park they had to close I-4 down. We were sitting in a restaurant enjoying lunch and watching everyone else in their cars going nowhere.
I said to my wife: “Want to know what’s wild? Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones were already popular the last time England won the World Cup — and here we are six decades later, and he’s still famous and touring.”

Agree, but not all old men are bad. (I’m 70) The current ones are very very bad. But I agree we need to teach people to care regardless of anything, gender, age, musical tastes!

While I still read the newspapers - I am becoming numb to the sensational reporting of it's a war, it's not a war.
War is not the answer. People are the answer and we need to be kind to one another.
