“People around the world, including some Americans, condemned the call. After Belgium won, the team mocked Trump. “Overturn this,” it posted on social media.”
“ On the field, Balogun was limited by the Belgian defenders and lack of chances created by his teammates.”

Trump has a habit of sticking his nose where it doesn’t belong and rarely where it does belong. For all we know the distraction he created cost us the game. At a minimum, you could see it motivated Belgium.
Everything he touches becomes tainted and/or fails.
From what I could tell too, most of the teams still playing were mocking trump’s nutty dance that he does to WMCA. What he pulled with FIFA’s help just amplified how far the rot has spread throughout that organization which is a shame since so many people worldwide love to follow their teams.
Looks like Maine Democrats are holding their collective breaths waiting on Graham Platner to decide what he’s going to do. Don’t blame them. He could leave voters in a bit of a pickle should he decide to stay.

As for Khamenei’s funeral, apparently this crazy president of ours decided it would be a good thing to start bombing their country during his funeral. Jeez! Stop the world. It’s time to get off!
How did parents manage to raise kids before the internet? I was a single parent of twins, never had to sit them in front of a tablet to get things done. Instead, I got them involved doing things at their level, or gave them physical toys that taught them how to amuse themselves without a screen. parents should do what they instinctively know is right and stop looking to social media for advice. Kids need to learn to keep themselves entertained and learn how to be bored. It will serve them throughout their lives.
Most of what I know about soccer (football for the rest of the planet), I’ve learned during this World Cup. That said, I don’t think it would’ve mattered if our guy couldn’t have played. We were outplayed. Completely. But Trump getting involved made us look weak AND whiny. Not a good look for the US.
