Great Free for ALL today!!! Thanks, Bill!!

Designer dogs - ugh, altho I have to say, many many many years ago, I was ahead of the times, & purchased, very inexpensively, a Schnoodle - mini Schnauzer/mini Poodle - but I called her a mutt. I didn't care for purebreds. I had seen too much inbreeding. My Gracie was sooooo smart & cute! I trained all my dogs. We were a Delta Certified Therapy team (Pet Partners (previously Delta Society), volunteered w/ Hospice & nursing homes.

side note about dog competitions; I volunteered for agility competitions. Oh my, those could get serious!! It reminded me of kids' swim meets... some parents were out for blood; some parents were there to cheer on all the kids & have a good time!

The Bird's Nest --- loved it!! If I needed a place to go, I'd check it out & hope they'd take me!

Dancing birds!! loved it! I had a cousin who raised & sold cockatoos. And husband & I dance weekly. In fact, tonight we're going to a country western dance. Playing the music this morning, watching the bird, got me smiling & moving in my chair 💃

I've been a fan of Pinterest for years!!! First I've heard about the influx of guys...

Great and fun articles today, Bill!

I've always laughed at the Doodle love - to me they are muttleys but I do love me a muttley. All but one of my dogs was an "indescrimately bred" dog and all were super smart and had very few health issues. I bet the original Doodle dogs were the same and now that they are breeding for certain looks, sizes etc., that probably is no longer the case, which saddens me. Still, they are mighty cute.

My friends and my family too have discussed all living together as we age so reading about it was clarifying in a lot of ways. I still think it's a great idea!

My wife and I have a moyen (small standard) poodle. Many people ask what kind of doodle we have and I reply “A poodle doodle.” I supposed they are so used to seeing toy poodles and every kind of doodle that a regular poodle is an oddity.

So poodles will have sex with anything? Adopt, don’t shop. We have enough dogs as it is.

I rescued a purebred 5 month old Iris Setter many many years ago. I was the 3rd owner. She was so skittish, afraid of hoses & males. Like I said above, I’ve trained all my dogs- she turned out to be so loving & fantastic with my kids when they were born

Later I rescued a purebred Irish AWFUL - - as I was gently training her to stay off the furniture she bared her teeth at me - an Irish Setter = inbreeding!!! I had my kids still, shredded her papers, gave her to a single guy explaining the situation…

All this to say - please, y’all, there are soooo many dogs & cats needing homes - they are sooooooo cute !! Don’t keep up with the Joneses
