RE ICE: if a masked man with no law enforcement ID came at me I would not comply. But then, I’m white and apparently safe from this kind of abuse. If one attempted to trespass on my property I would defend anyone on my property.
RE Miss Universe: Yes!! I love strong women, one of the reasons I married my wife. We also raised a strong woman.
The pioneers who took the Oregon Trail were a lot stronger and hardier than we are today. What courage it would take to leave civilization and go out into the unknown. Set against the guy who faked his death to avoid divorce. Then a woman who takes a chance on buying a building of old clothes. I would love to live somewhere where buying a home gets you two, by the way.
Kudos to the guy trying to lose half his weight. Long, hard journey there as well. Not sure sharing the journey online is always the best course to go.
Read the full Atlantic article about the stinker who tried to disappear and start a new life elsewhere. Loved the story about the vintage clothes. I used to love finding good vintage clothing and enjoy it myself. Good for the Miss Universe ladies who walked. There was no excuse for Miss Mexico having to put up with his abuse at all. Horrible little man. And the Oregon Trail video was informative. I cannot imagine what all those pioneers had to endure even knowing what all it was. They were hardy enough to succeed and finally thrive because of the numbers of migrants that undertook that journey. Truly amazing.
Re: Beloved Clothing Store and $4,500. Incredible story! Comes full circle!!
