If past behavior is the best predictor of future performance, why on earth would we expect things to get better since our current economy is being driven by tariffs, insurance and healthcare costs, and the unnecessary and never ending Iran war? In fact, things will likely get worse when the true cost of the war are tallied and costs are included for the new Canadian tariffs. Moreover, we clearly cannot afford a trillion dollar hit to our national budget. Sounds like socialism to me…
9/11 and the time I realized I was old. On the Sept 11 I was in Frankfurt, Germany at the World's largest auto show. We watched it unfold on one of the Siemens booths first TV 's built into a headrest.
Years later in 2017, I am taking my son's Scout troop to NYC, and we visit the 9/11 museum. As we start a guided tour I realize, as does the guide, that only 4 of the 15 persons in the group, were alive on 9/11/01. The guide, the other adult leader, my son was 6 months old on 9/11 and I were the only ones alive, and only 3 of us had memories of that time.
If you have kids or grandkids, take them to the museum, seeing the exhibits brings home to them more concretely what happened.
I watched the second plane hit from my office in SFLA. We printed a significant number of extra copies of USA Today on 9/12 and were sold out across the country by 9:00 am.
I'm on another site where we're all sharing our recollections of 9/11; all of us are old enough. Such vivid memories. Most of us have kids who remember; some have kids who weren't old enough. Many, many places w/ many, many people were brought together to help for many days/week/months. I don't think any of us want another disaster; however coming together and supporting one another, vs the divisive hatred in this country right now --- what would it take?
was it here or another conversation talking about electric Zoox Robotaxi, & even larger driverless semis: they could, in fact, do away w/ the cab, thus taking away a lot of the weight from the vehicle itself - it would still have to have some AC, & some cooling for whatever is shipped, but those big wheels/cab wouldn't be needed. Of course, it would completely change the looks & get a lot of drivers gawking which could possibly cause problems...

My SIL at the time was married to a United Airlines pilot. This is the truth: he had been scheduled to fly that Penn plane, but had switched w/ another pilot. He was in the air on another flight, landed in Denver & was grounded for however many days planes were grounded - I don't remember that detail now. The minute he arrived back home, he walked in, told his wife he wanted a divorce, packed a suitcase & walked out. She called me - had tried & tried to call her brother but he would never talk to her - she was crying so hard I could hardly understand her. I lived just about a mile away, went over immediately & stayed w/ her for several hours. He'd been having an affair for many yrs, (she suspected, but, as usual, he denied) went to move in w/ the other woman... blah, blah, blah. The 9/11 event caused him to make that decision.
You must not remember what you said at the beginning of the comment to which I replied. And to your marital dig from yesterday. At that time you seemed to have an opinion on if my wife always agrees with me. She also said she could care less what you think about anything! Oopsy :)
Hi Bill? Recently I’ve been reading about experiments where multiple AI agents were put together to do tasks. One experiment formed a society, one ran a business, and one solved high end math problems. I suspect you already know about this, but just in case, check it out. I think writing about this would be great. Thanks for your good work, as always.

It is reasonable to expect, based on current trending, that the current figure will double, completely eating the bribe trump has floated.
