You haven’t seen all the news about NPR? They’re about to lose their fed funding. ALL of their staff in DC for ex id as liberals. Lots of controversy about the editor…

I’ll send links tomorrow or Sunday - tomorrow is my volunteer day

Someone with NPR wrote an article, was put on probation or something then quit - it was in The Free Press (I subscribe ) Since then it’s been published in several places. Like I said, causing NPR some very negative publicity.

Other news I read: BBC, I subscribe to all of The Dispatch, random sub stack which I’ll list if interested but those aren’t news. I don’t listen or watch any broadcast news

haven't looked for the NPR link, & probably won't so I won't dig myself deeper into this discussion.

To add tho to what I read:

1440 Daily Digest - free

The Daily Upside - free

Daily Chatter - world news/comes w/ a free 2 week trial. I like it a lot so became a subscriber.

So doesn’t quite fit your preconceived narrative then? That what you’re telling everyone?

Enjoyed almost all of these Bill and as you guessed, the dog story won my first prize with the Marine Corp general’s rescue. He has no idea really how lucky he was to have survived that even with being in fine physical shape. It just wasn’t his time yet. So glad for everyone.

finally read the dog story. Great!! I used to volunteer at agility competitions & they reminded me of swim competitions for younger kids, which I also volunteered at. LOTS of stress, from the owners/parents. Too bad the stress level sometimes transferred to the kids, but that didn't come arcoss at all in this story w/ this great dog & owner. Someone in the story commented that working breeds really love to work! True! I've owned dogs, & trained them, all my life, & they love to perform.

Loved the layout on this issue (Friday)! Much easier to read with the spacing. Very clean looking.
