Federal agents with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) boarded several cruise ships docking in San Diego between April 23–27, 2026 as part of a large child‑sexual‑exploitation (CSEM) enforcement operation. Among the 28 total crew members arrested, about 10 worked on a Disney Cruise Line ship (primarily the Disney Magic).
Authorities reported that 27 of the 28 individuals were confirmed to be involved in the receipt, possession, transportation, distribution, or viewing of child sexual exploitation material. Most were from the Philippines, with others from Portugal and Indonesia. Their visas were revoked and they were removed from the U.S.
It is very scary when one person exerts such power over public opinion.
Even more scary to me? I picked up a book at a garage sale, not one I would normally read. Then today, I turn on my TV and the title of that same book pops up on “shows you might be interested I “. I have not posted the title of this book anywhere online, and yet there it is on the tv. I get that ads for the sandals I ordered a few weeks ago keep popping up in my newsfeed, but how on earth did that book do the same? I know, just a coincidence but it is still scary.

Sorry Bill, but I couldn’t open the 3 articles that I was interested in reading from The Guardian, Telegraph and Atlantic. Disappointing.
