I hope you give credit to some of the comments that you received in the past. I remember several that I made when I told the “Tell Me Your Story” interviews I had when I volunteered at hospice. We would interview clients at hospice in center places as well as in their homes. We were a small group and we made this because we realized due to research that people were saving their phone recordings that had their deceased loved ones voices on it and they never wanted to lose their deceased loved ones voices. We did not use cameras because we thought that would be a little bit too intimidating. We took audio tapes and of course got permission and had very non-descriptive questions that we could use, no yes or no questions. You can go back through your comments and find these I described. One woman was so prepared and had all of her photographs arranged for me, which was excellent. She would have me hold up a photograph. I would describe the photograph (she had poor eye sight) and then she would go into great detail about the time and the place and the emotions, everything that that photograph came to mind. I met with that woman for many many weeks. A lot of men would talk about their times in the war. It was a free service of course. We would spend as many weeks as the client wanted and then we would take our taped recordings and transfer them to as many CDs as they wanted to give to their loved ones upon their death. And then we would destroy our tapes. We were honored, the five of us who came up with this idea, we were honored with an award in our city for this, came in second a high school group came in first, out of dozens. But it was a very rewarding experience for all of us. We heard so many stories. I think I told you one time I heard so many secrets from this woman who had never told family secrets, except to me.
Anyway, Bill, when you write your book, I hope you give credit to some of the ideas that you have come up with to the commenters of your understandably.com
I hired a magician for one of my son’s birthday parties, maybe about age 6. He asked if his son could come, same general age. I said “sure”. The party was in our backyard. At one point I noticed I didn’t see the magician’s son. I went inside after waiting long enough to allow time for a “potty break”. I found the kid in the playroom above the garage stuffing his pockets with toys.

And teachers - we, Teachers Unions, said in my most sarcastic voice - are demanding more. Several areas of the country today, on this merry Month of May, May 1st, declared schools off, by golly, so teachers can protest for more! MORE YOUTUBE TIME!
And homebuyers in Austin, perhaps another link might show other reasons for difficulties purchasing— Austin Independent School District after several years of being forced by the Teachers Union to hide the test results, last year finally made those results public & have now closed about 10 campuses in the Austin area for failing to upgrade for several years. Now they’re trying to find an add’l 18million$ shortfall after stripping as much as they could. Taxes in Travis Co/Austin are already higher than other metropolitan areas. Companies coming to TX locate outside Travis Co.
so, Bill, that link doesn’t quite tell “the rest of the story”
I just ordered Bill and looking forward to just going thru your interview process. If you use What’s App, that would work better I think.
Stories look good for weekend reading when email isn’t so heavy.
