What do you mean by “digitally native?” I get that Gen Z live inside their phones, but then you go on to write that they value human connection. I don’t see that. Could it be they value it but can’t be bothered to make it happen?

Maybe they crave it specifically because they have grown up in a 100% digital world?

Two of my grandkids are Gen Z. Frankly, I was worried about them “getting out” and interacting more with others, but they both have more than a few friends they hang out with most of the time and their digital world seems to be less and less important to them. Granted two is a small sample. But still to me it’s the one that matters.

It is interesting that first Facebook and now Instagram both have become platforms for old people. It used to be fun watching instagram videos but they are both hotbeds of misinformation and AI generated content.

No matter your age you’ve gotta’ love Sandler!

33% of them being part time employed was also interesting.

Where was that? Somehow I missed it.

You didn't miss it. I went and looked at the original study. It's in the slide there. 33% employed part time, 40% in the South and 10% in the North East.

Ahh! I wonder how that compares for the same age group each decade since 1945.

Edit: I checked out the slide which has some other interesting info. Thanks for the tip.

Thank you for today's story. This 66 year old has been waiting with baited breath to see what 15 year olds in this country are most interested in.

Always enjoy your newsletters and the bits of current news stories with links. Today I noticed typos in your newsletter. I don’t know who proofreads but…

Enjoyed the study of Gen Z. As a Boomer, had studies been done then, it would be interesting to know how my generation was looking at that average age. There have always been crucial events happening in each generation that perhaps defined us all in one way or other. It will always be so.

By the way, just checked on Jamaica and there’s very little left of what was on that island. Monster storm.
