I am sorry you had this experience. However I just looked up the email list and yours is recorded as "do not share." So it won't be shared. I don't know why it looked like the box checked itself.

I do not see your email address signed up anywhere. If there's a bug in the system I don't know about I would like to fix it. If you get any email from me you did not want, please reply - but this should not be able to happen. I can't even see your email address in the admin system to reply to this, so you should be ok.

Please note that I noticed the same, this might very well be a glitch in the system that occurs when people hit submit. I hope it can get fixed easily and fast so people don’t think otherwise of your intentions.

I asked that my information not be shared by unchecking the box and when I hit submit, the check reappeared. How does this match the premise of emotional intelligence when my wishes are ignored? Very disappointed.
Thank you for reporting this. Your email was recorded as "do not share," but there was some kind of bug that was checking the box anyway. I have fixed it for new users, and your email was (and still is!) recorded as "do not share." I take this seriously so thank you.
