Bill based on the last seven things item it's time to change you summer plans and go explore the sweet water seas aka the Great Lakes. Freighters like the Manitoulin ply the lakes year round delivering many critical materials for our economies. And your daughter will love the sandy beaches of Lake Michigan that lead to salt free, shark free water to play in!
BTW the first sign of spring will be when the Coast Guard rescues 10+ ice fisherman on a Lake Erie ice flow that breaks free and starts to float towards Buffalo!
I second Tyrone G. Born and raised in Michigan with A Boat docked at Harsens’ Island as a second home. Boating throughout Great Lakes and other waters amongst many freighters and other vessel’s adventure
I like to have darker rooms with light focussed on the task at hand, find it easier to concentrate. Auschwitz just hurts my heart, those poor people endured so much.
And why is it anyone's business what the health concerns of the mayor of New York may be? Give the guy some privacy!
My grandparents kept a collection of LOOK and LIFE magazines during the war and when I was about 10 or 12 years old, I found them and began looking through them. That’s when my young eyes saw the horrors of that war and its aftermath as the liberating forces encountered all those mass murder camps. It was the first time I had ever seen the trauma-blasted faces of the survivors, the piles of bodies awaiting burial in mass graves and of course there were the ovens and the pictures of the “labs” where all sorts of horrendous experiments and surgeries were carried out by the perverted minds of so-called doctors. Many of these pictures or others like them were, or are still, used in the Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC. The American public sees nothing like this today. Since the Viet Nam War news has been scrubbed and sanitized into pablum for the masses because the actual horrors create issues for the fat cats who would send our fighting forces into war zones.
As for Mayor Adams’ physical health I’d be willing to bet lying low is one of his prescriptions as I understand his political health isn’t too sound these days.
Just received the following from our kid’s school:
We have received questions and concerns regarding the news that President Trump’s administration issued a freeze on some federal loans and grant funding. Greenville County Schools receives approximately $13 million in federal revenues each month, primarily through the USDA National School Lunch Program, Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) funding for students with disabilities, Title I funding to high-poverty schools, and the various other Title funds under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA). Additionally, we are implementing some time-limited federal grants that involve smaller funding amounts. We also have a number of partnerships that are partially or wholly supported by federal funding. We do not have clarity of what effects, if any, this will have on our funding sources and partnerships.

I prefer dimmer lights and abhor overhead brightness. Just think of the things I could have accomplished had I changed a few light bulbs.

Soo Locks would be a must visit and significant education
