AI chatbots are merely the next iteration of (anti) social media. These companies need eyeballs for revenue and, as everyone knows, emotional connections in advertising sells, so emotions become the turbo charge in chatbots. Kids can now get bullied on (anti) social media and then go hang with their fake chatbots for emotional support.
