this time - Tried clicking on Life story twice...and link went to your previous post of Life Story. ; - )
Thought it might go to you via your email. oops. I want to sign up for LIfe Story - discount if possible and can wait til after Christmas! Oh..and I'm a subscriber.
Still an incredible story about the Blue Marble-our tiny dot in space upon which we, as microbes, exist.
Dec. 7 was also Pearl Harbor Day mentioned by very few. Its infamous day having been replaced by 9/11 for our generations.
After last week, we now have the Nobel Prize for Peace being replaced by the FIFA 🤡 Peace Prize. Will the embarrassment ever stop?
A zillion years ago, my mom, 8 month old son and I were driving from NC down to Ft. Lauderdale so we could fly over to Bimini to join my husband who was already there. We were in our 1966 Cadillac when the water pump ceased to work. It happened on a Friday afternoon in Noonan, Georgia of all places. Long story short, we ended up staying the night in what could only be described as a motor hotel; 6 individual units alongside the road with each unit having 2 rooms. Twin beds and a dresser drawer with pillows allowed us to sleep. We did get back on the road again Saturday afternoon; credit to the dealership that did open up to fix the damn car. It’s just amazing what memories your writing can stir up Bill.
Just sent you an email reply on the Life Story Magic bit - count me among the interested - and also thanks for the Big Blue Marble story. As a photo taker among family members who are occasionally grumbly about being made to assemble for a group shot, I've been known to say, "You'll thank me for this some day." Thanks Schmidt (or whomever) for the memories.

That is quite the photo! had no idea about the excommunication, you would think religions would be more tolerant . . . . .
and how far has communication come since that day in 1901. I wonder what Marconi would think.
