the non-profit organization I volunteer w/ is breaking away from nat'l, as are the majority of others across the nation. So we will be 'rebranding' by the start of the fiscal year...
& left out of the statement about Palestinian "Statehood" ...Families of Israeli hostages held by Hamas in Gaza had asked the UK and others to hold off on the decision until hostages were released, citing concerns that recognition could appear to reward Hamas and affect ceasefire negotiations. And of course, where will this "state" borders be? From the river to the sea??? Plus Hamas issued a congratulatory statement.
Jimmy Kimmel is now going to be a martyr. Instead of dying a natural death due to the fact that in many people's opinion he's not a comedian, not funny & has actually lost viewers & lost $$$$ to the network, Trump doing Trump, attempting to censor, now, like I said, has made Kimmel a martyr. However, there might be hope, maybe, maybe, maybe there might be some spines being developed --- Ted Cruz, ie, said Republicans might like it now, but when it starts happening (again) to conservatives, it won't be funny.
From another source: Kimmel's return will be pre-empted by at least one large TV station group. Sinclair Broadcast Group, the largest owner of ABC stations, with 38 across the country, including WJLA, the ABC affiliate that serves the Washington D.C. metro area, has said it will run other programming.
This is an interesting column today. I wonder how far down the hierarchy this plays out below the CEO level? Year/year followed by quarter/quarter rules the analysts. Bezos is wrong if he believes people can disagree and commit; commitment just doesn’t work that way. Reality is more like:
want = choice = commitment
should = decide = sacrifice
Can trump and the 2025 group be more brazen? The entire Homan debacle reads like a mob movie script: make your bones, build your cred, and move up in the organization (Bill notice the three?). But…we will take you down if we don’t like you. Every manufactured DOJ investigation takes away from investigating actual crimes. “I hate my opponent,” Mr. Trump told the crowd at the memorial in Arizona, “and I don’t want the best for them.”
So happy Jimmy is back! That’s one in the win column for the first amendment. Funny or not, it is a comedian’s job to mock everything and anything. That’s what makes the White House Correspondents' Dinner so good. Even better, Jimmy just announced his first guest will be Mr. Newsome. How apropos! If Sinclair, who has a broadcast license courtesy of the FCC and not the GOP, wants to censor programming perhaps they should lose their federal license?
Is it really about the first amendment, or is it more the fear of being shot up by a mad leftist, ala Sacramento?...
Regarding Tom Homan, welp, something is rotten in Denmark, and the lefties are all over it. As a right-leaning centrist who loves how the right makes the left's head explode...this boils down to neither side is perfect; it's just that the right is less not perfect than the left is.
