Unfortunately I’m at a point in my life and in a place where being a fall risk is riskier than staying sedentary 😢. Good for you Bill. Be active when and while you can. Take it from me, that can change in a New York minute.

I am nearly 70 and the more I work out the better I feel, encouraging me to work out more. 75 cycling miles a week in the Blue Ridge foothills plus lifting and hiking when it’s cool. The first 20 minutes is tough but then I find myself in the zone, making it difficult to turn around! It is also wonderful mentally like a moving meditation.

I exercise because it makes me feel better and helps to disburse the stress that comes with being a caregiver for a family member. Any other benefits are secondary.
