I had read a couple of similar articles but this article really hammers home the way the two camps worked together to make Kamala(, la)’s move into the prime seat happen. I’ll just be blunt about it too. I’m thrilled with the results 👍.
As for the facial recognition article, I passed it on. I’m certain I got scanned at Heathrow two years ago when the guys and I went to Scotland. Great Britain has been into the heightened security thing forever. Thing is, who knew opting out was an option, as you said? The more you know…….
I didn’t read the political bit as US politics are not of interest to me.
Nor is eating at communal tables. It’s enough that I have to listen to family members chew or talk with their mouth full of half-chewed food. Why on earth would I want to listen to strangers. Nor do I need strangers looking at my order and critiquing what I ordered. Or listen to some blowhole monopolize the meal with boring stories. I hope that restaurants who go for communal tables leave a few individual ones for those of us who don’t feel the need to break bread with strangers.
I’m with you on communal tables. I did that enough when on business travel. When I spend money in a restaurant (and I’m with someone), I don’t want a crowd at my table!!
okie dokie, gonna do politics, so will share what's going thru my head, Simon & Garfunkel's Mrs. Robinson
Sitting on a sofa on a Sunday afternoon
Going to the candidates debate
Laugh about it, shout about it
When you've got to choose
Every way you look at this, you lose

Since the door has been opened, a brief toe dip into politics. Go Kamala!! Keep America Great!

Methinks the long table article is more about institutions vs restaurants. Colleges etc.
I also think it makes sense there. I know they helped me make friends in college-you know, back before time began.
Face scan ain’t all bad. I get to drive right in without getting my ID out on bases that have it. Albeit hardly any do. 😎
