How about a couple of statistics to start your Friday?
In January, yet again, another 4.3 million people quit their jobs. Add that to 47 million who quit last year. It's like the entire combined populations of California, Oregon, and Washington State.
Of course, most of them moved on to some other way of making a living. Millions started their own businesses, as we've seen. And, according to a new study from Pew Research, 53% of them took the chance to make a career change.
Career change could mean a lot of things, I suppose, and the folks at Pew say that "workers younger than age 30 and those without a postgraduate degree are especially likely to say they have made this type of change."
Still, it makes me think: If so many people actually did change careers, I'll bet there are a whole heck of a lot of other people out there who are thinking about it.
