The reduced socialization in our country seems to support the strong political division. We just don’t talk things out like we used to. In fact we don’t want to even speak to some. The digital scape is much easier to hide behind as well as influencing our thinking! Not being face to face makes it easier to be nasty.
Politics has become like religion. If you don’t agree with my dogma you are my enemy. I cannot talk with someone that is unable to acknowledge facts and only wants to discuss their talking points. My father once said Gore being elected president would have been the worst thing that could happen to this country. When I asked him why he was speechless. His preacher had not told him what to say next…
My wife and I sip coffee and read the news, sharing and discussing stories.
I feel sorry for the people impacted by the new attacks on civilian infrastructure, all for an unnecessary war the was promised never to happen.
The GOP must be quite concerned if the administration is threatening state election officials with prison time. WTF??? If things are so bad did trump really win in 2024???
It is about time the Tate’s got cornered on their activity! They influenced far too many young boys/men.
When your general council tells you something is illegal it seems counterproductive to fire them. That doesn’t change the illegality of the proposed actions. Is the IRS now a private entity of the administration like the DOJ (and many other departments)has become?
Cameras on trash trucks? Oh my! When will they be placed in public restrooms?
Maybe bylaw officers should get out and about more in their community instead of expecting garbage trucks to do their job.
I talk less now since my husband passed away. I do chat with my stuffed animals but they aren’t that great at conversation. I am sad for the current generation that is not learning how to have conversations and talk to others, not to mention having most of what they do lives forever on the internet.

I just got around to reading this one. Not only do I believe it 100%, but it's also ruining my plans for retirement. I've always said that when I retire I'm going to need something to keep me busy when I'm not doing all the things on my "when I retire" list; so I'd get a part time job at Barnes and Noble and just help people find books all day. Now the Barnes and Noble brick and mortar are disappearing. I may have to just be content in retirement....
Also, as far as the IRS thing goes. The Obama administration was sued by over 400 nonprofit conservative groups for discrimination, and the suit was settled with an apology and admission by the IRS that subjecting them to heightened scrutiny and delays was wrongful. In fact, there were 6 other past presidents who targeted political opponents and enemies with IRS audits as well:
Calvin Coolidge (R)
Franklin Roosevelt (D)
John F. Kennedy (D)
Richard Nixon (R)
Bill Clinton (D)
George Bush (R)
Looks like corruption exactly like before. Sheesh.
