I can’t think of anything more scary right this minute than drones of any kind flying around over our heads. How can a deadly one be discerned from a more benign one? I’m convinced that humans are so canny, we will engineer our own extinction. And we have the temerity to call other animals dumb.

Because the organizing power of labor is the only real threat to a fascist government, labor unions are either eliminated entirely, or are severely suppressed .
Who/what will manage traffic control? Is the assumption just that it will happen automatically? What happens if/when collisions happen? If/when they become inevitable??
The Walmart I shop at is one of the drone stores, and the other day I saw the drones returning to their home location which is in the Walmart parking lot. For fun, my husband signed up and the drone delivered free candy canes to us. Even though we stood outside and watched for the drone, we didn't hear or see it until it was almost right above us. It hovered above the empty space between our house and the neighbors for a few seconds and then gently lowered the box containing the candy canes and a bottle water to the ground. It quickly retracted the line and then flew off. My husband took a video and the whole thing lasted less than two minutes.

If everyone starts flying cars, how is traffic going to be regulated? Based on the driving skills of people, I can see a disaster ahead.
