Taking a nap, what a novel way to come with ideas when you’re struggling. Let it flow to you while you sleep.

RE 7 Other Things:

It boggles my mind that SCOTUS can be so cruel - particularly to the mothers and children - that rely on SNAP. Let’s also remember all the businesses that are part of the economic circle of life.

It would be interesting to understand the full economic impact including the continued cost to keep pleading with SCOTUS. I also wonder about the ROI on the $40 BB given to Argentina, cash the administration conveniently was able to find, not to mention the idea of giving everyone $2,000 from the tariff taxes that could have funded SNAP. Sigh…

The funding for SNAP is already there. It doesn’t need more funding. He is just holding it because he doesn’t want the program to continue. It is not about funding.

Of course we all understand that fact, which makes the actions of both POTUS & SCOTUS even more cruel, evil, and heartless. Also remember the members of congress, whose inaction perpetuates the continued infliction of pain and suffering on American citizens they swore an oath to represent.

If only the democrats had voted "yes" just once in those previous 15 chances they had to reopen the government, we wouldn't be in this position. As Chuck Schumer put it, it was their "leverage". Talk about cruel and inhumane. The only one who had his head screwed on straight that entire time was John Fetterman, and now he's being ridiculed, along with the 7 other dems who voted with him, by his own party who's TDS was stronger than their duty to their constituents.

By this same token the GOP could have voted yes as well. Nothing prevented them from doing so. The difference is the dems care about healthcare for 42 million American citizens they swore an oath to represent. This is a long game and voters will remember the GOP’s callous disregard for ACA subsidies where they promised to bring prices down.

Really, this was the GOP’s way to deflect from the Epstein files. Now trump will invade Venezuela for a distraction; I cannot recall think of no other reason to get us into another Vietnam situation.

I believe Rand Paul is the only republican who voted no each time. With the need for 60 votes to pass, everyone knows that the dems were needed to get this done. 15 times they voted no. 15.

Also, it's not 42 million Americans. There are a few million illegal aliens in there too, and that's part of the problem. If the democrats truly cared about the American citizens they also took an oath to represent, they would not be hell bent on catering to illegals.

I love how the Epstein files come into play when talking about feeding Americans. I want the files released too, but lets be honest, Schumer and Jeffries wanted to stick it to Trump regardless of who gets caught in the crossfire. Eventually there were some level headed democrats who saw what this was doing to their constituents and they did the right thing. Now their own party wants their heads on a stick for doing so.

The whole illegal aliens on health care has been debunked, but if you listen to Vance you wouldn’t think so.

Also, Medicaid has nothing to do with ACA subsidies. And I misspoke; it is nearly 24 million receiving subsidies. When these people drop because they can’t no longer afford coverage, and the Medicaid recipients start going to emergency rooms your and my insurance costs will increase.

Every caring person knows the GOP doesn’t give two shits about the “little people.”

And let’s be really honest: trump is terrified what will eventually one out. If not, he would have been first in line to release everything to prove his innocence.

I hope they can find a way to extend this to other learning, like languages. I never had trouble learning to play an instrument, or learning a skill that involved using my hands, but languages always caused me trouble. I took Italian for 6 years, and was never proficient. Even around Italian speaking family. I could understand what they said but could never respond. It would be great to use one of those apps, go through a lesson, take a nap, do the next lesson, take a nap, and so on.

When I was younger I dreamed a lot and sometimes would encounter solutions to issues I was having. Worked well when I went back to school. When I began playing golf, I would play and replay courses that I would have problems with. Sometimes it helped; other times not so much.

This piece really made me think! My brain totally does this when I'm stuck on a complex puzzel, be it a math proof or a coding problem. Who knew my 'power naps' were just my brain running a super efficient background proccess? It's like my own internal debugger. So cool to see science back it up!
