YES!! Asking help can be like a super power because - sometimes - it means we have to be vulnerable. We have to admit we need help. Good friends WANT to help, but if you don't ask them/tell them, they may not even know that you need it.
There is such a thing as being TOO independent. Humans are social animals. We need human connection. We get that by contributing to the greater good of the group we're with.
I wanted to let you know that I watched “It’s a Wonderful Life” after your first post as I was impressed by the fact that acting in it turned Jimmy Stewart around in his real life. I wanted to know the story that did that. I had never watched the movie before. I liked the movie for its moral story, not from its Christmas theme as I do not celebrate Christmas. And really, because the story took place right before Christmas has no bearing on the theme of the movie. It could have been an anytime of year. Thanks for bringing us stories like you do!
I know he does, that is why I do not celebrate a holiday based on human traditions and false religions, not on what is written in the Bible. But thanks for your prayers; one always appreciates prayers.
I hear you. Romans 14 has helped me with this…how believers can honor God differently regarding days and traditions. For me, Christmas is meaningful; for others, every day equally so. I’m grateful we can both keep Christ at the center.
