I’m surprised you didn’t put in that the Average age is affected by the Boomer generation. Covid may have depleted some of our ranks but we’re still a whopping 28% of the population.

“Boomers today represent 28% of the U.S. population. But in 1964, they represented about 40% of the population. In other words, in 1964 more than a third of the population was under 19 years old! No wonder the baby boomers attracted so much attention. Facts & Statistics About Baby Boomers – History Channel The Aging of the Boomers”

Happy Independence Day, my neighbours to the south. Have a great day.

I really love the Understandably newsletter and frequently comment about it on social media on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Just can't get into TikTok, just not for me lol.

Here is a link to one of my Instagram creations to encourage people to read Understandably.

Happy 4th of July!

Yes, I think there is an “average” American, but I’m not sure what that even means anymore.

I think more people (at least citizens and legal immigrants) probably benefit far more from the freedoms and rights we all enjoy than actually do not. Some people like to complain all the time, and all people like to complain some of the time. A number of corrupt politicians, a few bad cops, a small minority of anarchists/communists, and a mainstream media that’s bent to left, and we have a republic if we can keep it. It’s still the best thing going.

As for me and my house, we’re getting over COVID (first time any of us have been infected), and we’re going to enjoy a cookout later.

I hope you all will have an above average day, and hopefully a good time with family or friends!

I am your honored servant,

David

Love the article today very interesting but you state the average American has $121,760 and then go on to say they also have $748,000?

I think the public voice of the average American is going to skew female

for some time because of the abortion/anti-abortion issue.

Have read that even women with wanted pregnancies are feeling reluctant

to travel to states with abortion restrictions. They understandably have concerns in a

medical emergency the life of the unborn child will be given priority over the mother's.

A right that women have had for 50 years has suddenly evaporated. Whatever

your stand on this issue, it is sudden and polarizing. This year's Independence

Day feels much less independent to me. And I live in a state that offers full abortion rights.

Happy Independence Day (or Happy Fourth of July - depending) fellow unique individuals! Since frankly, that’s what we all are, fortunately. Though flawed as all of us are, I still think this is the greatest nation and best place to live and I’m very glad I was lucky enough to be born here. Enjoy!

Happy Fourth everyone!! We enjoyed a low key day today … no outside grilling, even though the weather is beautiful- but we did enjoy hamburgers and salad. My cousin and I managed to get about a dozen small flags and a couple of red/white/ blue pinwheels outside the front of the house. I totally enjoyed perusing the “average American “ stats. I fit in with some, not with others - as I’m sure most “average “ folks can say.

I was totally surprised that Elon Musk has a set of twins and triplets!!

It is just so disappointing that The Orlando paper would print such a statement … I would like to believe that no more than a tiny single digit percentage of people would even agree with such a sentiment.

Okay … just waiting for some fireworks from a nearby community to start!!

My high school chemistry teacher explained average by saying - if you sit on a chair in the middle of the room, take your shoes and sox off and then place one foot in a bucket of ice water and one foot in a bucket of boiling water, you should on average be comfortable. He was more of a fan of evaluating the Standard Deviation ;)

No fit the average American profile except maybe one category. Scratching the outside of normal is more adventurous. Of course, normal is a state of perception, belief and mind. I surely dislike being categorized, boxed in and normalized. Yuck.
