wonder if the students will read 'The Original Sin' & wonder who was really writing w/ 'the pen'? And now that the audio from Biden’s October 2023 interview with Special Counsel Robert Hur, which Axios published on Friday (makes Hur’s assessment of Biden as “a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory” seem generous) after this book, Biden is now disclosing he has advanced prostate cancer? W/ the best US doctors at hand? I would venture to say every educated man over a certain age in the US, certainly younger than Biden, has routine prostate exams. Hmmmm, is this a conspiracy??? Try to divert attention from a scathing book on the Biden cover-up or the Hur report showing Biden was too senile to go to trial... too senile to be POTUS?
Who was running the country? Who used 'the pen'? Perhaps everything signed, at the least, after Hur's report, should be void.
If you can have access to The Free Press, Oliver Wiseman wrote a good piece on this today:
“… after this book, Biden is now disclosing he has advanced prostate cancer?”
Why does everything have to be a conspiracy theory?
According to the NYT:
Former President Joseph R. Biden Jr. was diagnosed on Friday with an aggressive form of prostate cancer that has spread to his bones, his office said in a statement on Sunday.
All presidents use “the pen” these days, even the current office holder, unless he is signing his school projects and showing them off for the country.
If the cancer is allowed to progress without treatment, it has a higher chance of spreading to other parts of the body.
That is not conspiracy, that is medical fact.
And this is not conspiracy: The probability of missing a high-grade cancer depends on the quality of care, the diagnostic tools used, and the individual's circumstances. <--- like I said, Biden has at his beck & call the best doctors in the US w/ the best diagnostic tools available.
Your beloved NYT:
In late February 2024, The New York Times published a story saying that Biden’s doctor described him as “fit for duty” after a physical and neurological exam. The Hur report had been issued three weeks earlier, yet the fact that the White House “declined to give specifics about the tests Mr. Biden had undergone” raised no questions for the Times.
Sooooo, now, the news is being released that a cancer that has progressed to the bones is 'found'. Now, all of a sudden, after this book is hitting the news, & the Hur audio was released. No conspiracy, just the facts, sir.
and about the 'pen' --- if Biden had no idea who many people were - ie: George Clooney, who was a long time friend & big donor; & the Hur audio gives positive evidence that Biden was not mentally competent. Signing w/ the 'pen' by the POTUS must be done so by a mentally competent person who is aware of what is being signed. WHO WAS RUNNING THE COUNTRY??? Until that question is answered, that question must be repeated many times. And all 'pen' signatures need to be voided, at the very lease past the time of the Hur report.
The hatred of Trump caused the cover up of Biden & continues to this day.
You questioned the timing of the information. That is, without a doubt, planting the seeds of a conspiracy theory. You even pulled a Fox News tactic and invoked the term in the form of a question. Moreover, you got all into the “pen” issue, another conspiracy theory talking point you brought up as a fox-type question.
Your words, copied directly from your comment:
“Hmmmm, is this a conspiracy??? Try to divert attention from a scathing book on the Biden cover-up or the Hur report…”
“Who was running the country? Who used 'the pen'?”
You hate it when people use your own words to hold you accountable for what you say; meanwhile, you accuse me of gaslighting and asking questions in other threads.
You hate everything about Biden. And yes, I despise, no, loathe trump and everything he stands for. He has been far worse for our country this term.
Now, I predict you will say something, anything, to get in the last word. Prove me wrong…I dare you.
If you’re going to quote me please do not misquote me.
My mother taught me when I was a small child that the ugliest word in the English language was the word hate. I never use that word.
This very well might be my last word I needed to make sure everyone reading this knows I never ever use the word hate to imply I personally hate someone. I have never ever hated Biden. I don't care for Trump, nor many of his antics but will never say hate. The cover-up of Biden by his administration & the press is what the article I referred to is all about. And there were plenty of Republicans who were well aware & did nothing. Biden was not running the country.
Bill, I enjoy Understandably each morning with my coffee... but today's edition on awe moved me so much I have to write back. For a number of years now I've been trying to practice finding awe in my ordinary days and it's made life so much richer. Of course, we forget, so your reminder today to see my child with awe is very much appreciated. I'm no Bill Murphy but I also write a little, mostly for self therapy, I suppose. If interested, here's my piece on awe - may you have a magical and awesome day:) https://medium.com/@penny4yourthoughts/have-a-most-awesome-day-8eacdfb728a7
I believe the topic of 'awe' was somewhat discussed before in the topic of self-talk, when your inner voice sometimes seems like it’s not even on your side. Ethan Kross gave a TED Talk & one positive strategy he used was:
“awe” factor—looking for a sense of wonder and unity that can help to turn down the inner voice when it’s not being helpful. Oddly enough, another recent study out of the University of Rochester finds that parents who take pride and more importantly find “awe” in their children’s development wind up happier and better at the job of parenting itself. “When we experience this emotion of awe,” Kross puts it, “it leads to what we call a shrinking of the self. We feel smaller when we’re contemplating something vast and indescribable, and when we feel smaller, so does our chatter.”
I remember this because I sent it to my kids w/ the subject line: I'M IN AWE, & watching them be the awesome parents they are, too!!!
"The specter of single-issue religious groups is growing over our land. … One of the great strengths of our political system always has been our tendency to keep religious issues in the background. By maintaining the separation of church and state, the United States has avoided the intolerance which has so divided the rest of the world with religious wars."
— Barry Goldwater
“The purpose of separation of church and state is to keep forever from these shores the ceaseless strife that has soaked the soil of Europe with blood for centuries.”
I try to get out in nature every day. Lucky to live a few blocks from the ocean, but I prefer walking among trees. I live in a very urban area so it’s hard to find trees sometimes but it is worth the effort.
It will be interesting to seeing to see the curriculum on the 2020 election. And I am pretty sure the president has physicals every year and the results are released to the public. Cancer likes to hide in the body, so not surprised that it was missed.

Personally, I subscribe to what Katie Phang had to say on Bluesky about the matter and I’ll quote her here:
“Joe Biden isn’t the president anymore.
Instead, we’ve got a mentally deranged and ethically compromised old man with the nuclear codes trespassing in the Oval Office.
Stop talking about Joe Biden.
Start talking about the Convicted Felon, Donald Trump”.

Things are about to get interesting in Oklahoma...

Do you have any original words of your own?
Why do I need to recreate my own words when respectable people have already said it as well or better? That is management 101.
It seems as though some would recreate history with a good old fashioned religious war by ignoring or overriding the first amendment.
I think they’ve lost their collective minds there. The christian taliban is on the move.
