A fun side-benefit of writing this newsletter almost every single day is that while I've never been very good about keeping a personal journal, I now have one -- although I suppose it's a bit less personal than it might otherwise be.
It comes in handy, however, when you get the flu during Christmas break, and you find yourself trying to remember when was the last time you had the flu?
It turns out that for me, it was January 16, 2020. Or else, maybe it was January 14 or 15, but I wrote about it on the 16th.
Oh well, I guess I can deal with this every five years.
The real reason for today's post-holiday week edition newsletter is that so many of you were kind enough to point out that in yesterday’s New Year’s Day newsletter, I botched the link to my Inc.com “quotes article.”
(It’s probably not grammatical to put “quotes article” in quotes like that, but I found it funny.)
Anyway, here's the updated / corrected link: 365 Best Inspirational Quotes for 2025. I think I did a good job with it this year!
I'm planning a Free for ALL Friday tomorrow, but just as a reminder I'll be doing my step-back for the next week or more after that, in order to catch up on all the things I'd planned to catch up on before the flu upended my plans.
It will be a great January. Thanks for being here -- and thanks as well for all of the fantastic feedback after yesterday's newsletter. It meant a lot to me.
So as I lay here recovering from what is most likely Norovirus (not such a Happy New Year!), I was delighted to have your list of quotes to read. Just a thought, could you put the quote for the day on your daily newsletter? Seems a shame to put all the effort into compiling the quotes, and only use it once! Wishing all of us better health and peace in the New Year. BTW, your newsletter is the first email I open every day - great job!
Happy New Year, Bill!
Thanks for the newsletters and the daily quotes. Your work is always a bright spot, offering wisdom and perspective as the winds of change keep blowing.
Thank you!
