Ugh - there’s no good time for the flu. Seems like flu, cold and that ilk upended more than a few Christmas 2024 family get-togethers! Turning the page….all the best in 2025!
As someone who got slammed with a bad head and chest cold just as we were waiting for the “Ball” to drop on New Year’s Eve, you have my sympathy. If, by “flu” you mean the stomach bug, then in my semi tired and bored state, I must correct you, sir. The norovirus is not a flu, as it affects the GI tract, and not the respiratory system. Having said that, unlike my wife, who’d rather have the stomach bug and get it over with, I’m perfectly happy to endure the days of a cold or flu.
Looking forward to the changes you’re getting ready to introduce in a few weeks. God bless. Feel better, too.
I’m like your wife - a few days of stomach yuck vs, for me, a few days of fever followed by 2 weeks of congestion cough cough cough - I’ve never had COVID- have been on a nat’l blind study test for year’s & always have tested negative as never have had it & have above normal immunity - but when I get the flu it’s AWFUL (I only had 1 Moderna & a booster when 1st available).
So I wonder... back in 2020, are you sure it was the flu? Obviously, we didn't have any idea of the scope of what would happen soon after, sometimes influenza gets a bad rap :) Pity we didn't have accessible testing then...
Thanks for the newsletters and the daily quotes. Your work is always a bright spot, offering wisdom and perspective as the winds of change keep blowing.
So as I lay here recovering from what is most likely Norovirus (not such a Happy New Year!), I was delighted to have your list of quotes to read. Just a thought, could you put the quote for the day on your daily newsletter? Seems a shame to put all the effort into compiling the quotes, and only use it once! Wishing all of us better health and peace in the New Year. BTW, your newsletter is the first email I open every day - great job!
Glad you are feeling better. I have been extremely fortunate that the last time I had the flu was in the mid 1990’s, courtesy my young kids. A good immune system, lots of water, hand washing, annual flu shots and the luck of God have served me well.

Take good care of yourself!
As I’m writing this, I’m on hold with our doctor’s office as I try to get an appointment for my husband… such is life …!
Happy New Year, Bill!

Good idea. Hey Bill, are you listening? By the way, get well, ok?
Love that idea!
I just added the INC page to my desktop so I can access it each day from there.

Happy new year Bill, thank you for all the wonderful quotes.
This would make a great "page-a-day" calendar - or a simple daily email for inspiration!!
