While the weight loss and healthy changes are great, what really struck me was how wonderful the smiles were in both pictures!

Better52 is a great idea. There’s always something new in research and it’s so hard to keep up. As for Understandably, don’t back off! (Please)

..."the company promises not to use it for any other purposes"...and all these tech companies always keep their promises, right? Forget it. The goog is collecting data on you around the clock...as are many tech companies.

Quite an accomplishment Bill! Once one puts their mind to, the fundamentals of diet, exercise and rest really do deliver long-term results.

Better52 sounds like a winner. It seems that you are at on new point in your life/career journey. Wishing you all the best.

Better52 sounds great! You look great!! Congrats!!! I can relate, after losing 50 lbs, w/ Weight Watchers & being a WW leader for about 15 yrs before moving out of that state, I kept up w/ the scientific news, etc. Unfortunately WW of today isn't the same as what I knew. I have followed basically a Mediterranean diet for over 20 yrs.... I am very much opposed to diet drugs, injections, surgery... altho I don't really follow it much these days, but before I'd know people who would have the surgery but have NO counseling... they'd gain the weight back... Kennedy might be a wacko, but there could be some sound advice behind his wanting kids to be heathy, decrease the awful increase in children's obesity rate, diabetes, etc...

And I remember some articles you were doing about "Life Story" - that will continue to be interesting reading!

I read the Speed Project & grimaced, perhaps especially at the toe as big as a tomato - ewwww. And she took the antibiotics & pain pills & went on! Amazing what those athletes did!!

Looking good (or a least better LOL!). As a premium subscriber for years now and a daily reader, I admit to some confusion about what looks like now 5 products you are producing - Understandably, Big Optimism and now 3 new ones. Maybe it’s just me, but I can’t tell what the plan is - keep all; keep some; some free, some not; some come on one day and others another? Maybe at some point you can clarify (I am a little worried as a business person that you have too many products with little differentiation between). Life was easy before - I open and read. Do I now have to recall Tuesdays are Better 52, and it’s one I paid for? Appreciate any clarification.

Fair point, let me try to explain. I'll include a version of this next week too. In short, I've been writing about 5-6 overall subjects for quite a while now.

Let's say they include (a) health/wellness, (b) stories and lessons from history, (c) business stories & productivity, (d) my family history project, and (e) the occasional "Bill opines on the state of the world and gets some enthusiastic replies but also angry emails and generally loses a few premium subscribers each time." Plus "Big Optimism."

I'd say 20% of readers are happy to be here for all of it.

Then, for each of the various topic areas, 20% love it and look forward to those entries, while 80% stick around because they're here for when I write about one or two of the topic areas, but there's currently no way to get some without all.

My goals:

>> Differentiate so that I can do a better job on each topic area. As an example, it might make a lot of sense to launch a podcast or YouTube channel based on Better52 stories. But I want people to be able to self-select into whether they want to get those extra health-related items or not.

>> Not vastly increase my workload. I'm already doing most of the various topic areas, but I think this will make it easier to focus and organize.

>> Have room to try new things, fail sometimes, and relaunch in other areas.

>> Find ways to reward the people like yourself who have been supporting me and helping me get to this point.

Ultimately, for people like you, if you want to just keep getting everything, I'll be happy to kind of grandfather you in as a premium subscriber, and just add you to all the segmented lists.

This is all of a rough draft above of what I wanted to explain later next week, but it's good to get the opportunity to try now! Thanks!

Not for Everyone. But maybe for you and your patrons?

Dear Bill,

I hope this finds you in a rare pocket of stillness.

We hold deep respect for what you've built—and for how.

We’ve just opened the door to something we’ve been quietly handcrafting for years.

Not for mass markets. Not for scale. But for memory and reflection.

Not designed to perform. Designed to endure.

It’s called The Silent Treasury.

A sanctuary where truth, judgment, and consciousness are kept like firewood—dry, sacred, and meant for long winters.

Where trust, vision, patience, and stewardship are treated as capital—more rare, perhaps, than liquidity itself.

The two inaugural pieces speak to a quiet truth we've long engaged with:

1. Why we quietly crave for signals from rare, niche sanctuaries—especially when judgment must be clear.

2. Why many modern investment ecosystems (PE, VC, Hedge, ALT, SPAC, rollups) fracture before they root.

These are not short, nor designed for virality.

They are multi-sensory, slow experiences—built to last.

If this speaks to something you've always felt but rarely seen expressed,

perhaps these works belong in your world.

Both publication links are enclosed, should you choose to enter.

The Silent Treasury

Sanctuary for strategy, judgment, and elevated consciousness
