Any professor or instructor who can get a class motivated enough to feel like they’re included and important to the process is a genius.

Educators who find ways to change the structure and engage all kinds of learners are genius. As you can see, it doesn't take a member of MENSA to be creative about it. Now this class of students can approach each other for help with assignments, homework, etc., because they're familiar with each other.

Notice this Political Science class discussed nothing political or scientific during that period and she learned so much about her students' learning styles as well. I bet no one misses her classes.

I am a father of two daughters who are as energetic and excitable as any! When I happen to be in front of the situation and the dynamic needs a flip, I go to my “Rad Dad” play book and flip straight to the “U turn” page..

I will do just about anything possible to tell a funny story, sing a song made up on the spot or maybe do the most embarrassing dad dance possible, anything to that effect.

I have a couple stories about themselves that still reap the desired effect of a complete distraction and resulting in laughter. This is a great trick when let’s say they are strapped in the car seat vigorously swinging mittens at each other.

I’m sure the rest of you parents out there have similar experiences and tactics.

Carry on, thank you!

Ingenious. Running a membership-based organization, this interaction is priceless - especially during a banquet-type setting. Full bellies often dull the senses. The chatter is stimulating in its own right, and to add that to a dinner/presentation awakens the mind. Hmmm... I have an idea.....

RE: “Rule 89” from the “One Percenters” Is that for real, a complete or partial spoof? If real is there a translation app? -a confused competent baby boomer.
