Great feature article Bill. Read it to my husband who enjoyed a very short pro career in the CFL. He and I got a kick out of Footsie’s recruitment letter though. It’s quite a change from today’s draft.

Thank you for reminding me. I will pay it forward by reminding others. Love your stories! Every single one of them. In this hectic info-bombarding world, I actually take the time out of the hecticity (yes, I know it's not a word. But it should be!) to savor your pieces of art. It seems only right considering how much care you put into ensuring your craftsmanship is enjoyable to those who take it in. Thank you!

What an inspiring man. I will share his story with my family and friends. I wonder if we still make ‘em like Britt... Not feeling very optimistic about the character of Americans these days. Thank you for sharing his story.

It’s always uplifting to hear about people being great. Awesome touchdown bro, but absolutely amazing how time and time again he selflessly risked his life to accomplish the mission and save countless lives.

I appreciated the story about the Britt and honour (Canadian sp) his and all the sacrifice of all the fallen but at this time let's not forget about the men and women who put themselves in harms way behind the lines moving up supplies. Trust me when I say driving on a mountain road/goat path (half lost) in a snow storm at 4:00am in a deuce and half is not easy feat and takes some guts.

Thanks for this story, I had not heard it before. Amazing man. Your comment about his medal ceremony timing reminded me that lots of our citizens had their war end before D-Day and I think we forget that too often.
