You would have to get past the lobbyists for all the industrialized food production companies in the US. They create calories, not nutrition. Key difference between the US and Europe. Not to mention national health care. Doctors receive bonuses on how healthy their patients are, now how much costs they cut.
Sure, but it is difficult to live in the world AND grow your own food year round. Self-sustainability is a full time job. Most people won’t even take the time to purchase quality food and then cook it from scratch.
