One of the definitions of “poindexter” as listed on Google.

Poindexter is a surname mostly found in North America, but it can be traced back to the Isle of Jersey in the form "Poingdestre." Urbandictionary.com says the current slang meaning of poindexter is: "One who looks and acts like a nerd but does not possess the super-natural intelligence of a nerd."

There is very little that will make you more thankful than seeing three human beings perched on a rudder risking it all to find a better life for themselves. Thank you, carry on.

Oh, dear! It’s torture to attempt to humanely carry out a murderer’s sentence. No complaints from those they murdered,, thank goodness! If more people were the relatives of those murdered, they might get their priorities rearranged.

Why more hotels are getting rid of bathtubs in favor of showers only.

Fine with me, but could you please give back drawer space and bathroom counters? I need functional, not cute when I travel, especially if I’m on business.

What a phenomenal story Bill. Personally I could think of nothing worse than going through either the experience of everyone on board that flight or the men who were rescued from the rudder of that ship. It’s the stuff of myth and legend with heroes and dragons to slay if counting the days one was afloat could be considered a dragon of sorts. I loved it! You really outdid yourself today. Bravo!
