I chose the word mindset intentionally but didn't go into detail because that is also a lot to unpack.
I am a retired Marine. I worked a bit with Iraqi security forces and Iraqi Police on multiple deployments and can say that I can see how dangerous and easy it could be for a police force to become overly militarized.
I look forward to the possibility of reading a newsletter regarding the topic of militia-ized police force if/when it comes about.
